While large-scale, long-term change to advance health justice seems daunting, you can take actions that can make a difference.

Tap into your civic side

• Attend public meetings and engage on an issue that motivates you.
• Help support proven policies to build healthier neighborhoods, like CityHealth.
• Commit to explaining the difference between health equity and health justice to people in your life.

Help bring mental health out of the shadows

• Start a conversation with family and friends about mental health.
• Tell others about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or take a free suicide prevention training.
• Read the U.S Surgeon General’s Advisory on Protecting Youth Mental Health.
  

Foster meaning, joy and connection

• Cultivate meaningful conversations across differences.
• Participate in or offer DEI training, such as Groundwater training from Greater Cincinnati Foundation and Implicit Bias training from the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
