Interact for Health Awards $900k to Advance Local Policy Change

Six organizations across the region will receive funding for local public policy and advocacy efforts to advance health justice in Greater Cincinnati

Cincinnati, June 10, 2025 — Interact for Health has announced six recipients of the second iteration of their Local Health Policy Request for Proposals (RFP). This
funding is intended to support policy and advocacy efforts focused on addressing the vital conditions for health and well-being — the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live and age, and the wider set of forces and systems that shape our daily lives.

“Many factors influence a person's health beyond individual actions like visiting the doctor, eating well, or exercising," said Kate Schroder, President and CEO of Interact for Health. "By investing in organizations that tackle broader community influences—known as vital conditions for health and well-being—we help create a system where everyone can thrive, not just get by. We are proud to partner with organizations that embody health justice in their work.”

The six organizations approved for funding aim to drive local policy and advocacy efforts addressing the social, economic, and environmental factors that shape health. The approved grants are:
