Recently Closed Funding Opportunities

The Rural Changemaker RFP provides strategic funding that enhances and supports grassroots work addressing community-identified challenges and inequalities related to health in the rural regions served by Interact for Health in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Grants are expected to range from $10,000-$100,000 for 12 to 18 months. Proposals were accepted during three rolling deadlines, with a final deadline of October 7, 2024. 

Rural Changemaker Workshop 2024

The Local Policy RFP aims to advance local policy and advocacy efforts focused on addressing the social, economic and environmental factors that shape health. Interact for Health is investing a total of $500K in this RFP in 2024. Grants are expected to range from $75,000 - $250,000 for 18-36 months.  This RFP closed Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Local Policy RFP Workshop

The Data for Equity RFP is a joint partnership between bi3, HealthPath, and Interact for Health. This was second round of funding for grantees interested in developing their capacity to build equitable approaches to data and evaluation. Grants are expected to be $25,000 for 12 months and will be awarded to up to 10 non-profit organizations.  This RFP closed Friday, September 29, 2024.

Data for Equity Workshop 

The School-Based Mental Health Prevention RFP aims to expand existing evidence-based, school-based mental health prevention and promotion programs within schools that serve youth from Interact for Health’s priority populations – Black, Hispanic, low-income families, LGBTQ+ and rural communities. Grants are expected to range from $100,000 - $200,000 for 12-18 months. The total investment will be up to $1,000,0000. This RFP closed July 7, 2023.

School-Based Mental Health Prevention Workshop

The Amplifying Youth Voice in Mental Health RFP aims to provide funding to youth-serving organizations to develop their organizational capacity to amplify youth voice to improve mental health services. Projects will be considered from youth-serving organizations that address mental health and well-being, including schools, treatment providers, summer programs, mentoring programs, after-school programs and other organizations with social-emotional development programming. Grants are expected to range from $25,000 to $50,000. The total investment will be up to $400,000. This RFP closed May 23, 2023.

Amplifying Youth Voice in Mental Health Workshop

The Advancing Health Justice RFP aims to support community efforts to advance health justice through community power building, policy and systems change and narrative change.  This funding is intended to support community-generated ideas that tackle root causes and amplify community power. We are focusing efforts on people and communities who experience the greatest injustices in health outcomes.  This includes Black and Hispanic communities, children and families living with lower incomes and rural communities.  There are three funding tracks within this RFP:  community power building, policy and systems change and narrative change. Grants are expected to range from $25,000-$100,000. The total investment will be up to $1,500,000. This RFP closed on May 9th, 2023. 

Advancing Health Justice RFP Workshop

The Mental Health Equity RFP aims to improve culturally competent care and access to mental health services and supports among our priority populations—Black and Hispanic, LBGTQ+, children and families with low incomes, and rural communities (including youth within those priority populations). Projects will be considered that address barriers and expand access to services and supports and/or improve cultural competency across the behavioral health continuum, from prevention through treatment and recovery.  Grants are expected to range from $25,000 - $100,000.  The total investment will be up to $750,000. This RFP closed on April 25th, 2023.
