Fourteen out of 20 counties in Interact for Health's service area are considered rural. To be eligible for funding through the Rural Strategy, organizations must serve the following counties:
Rural Community Council Applications are now open, with 15 spots open for community members who live or work in the rural counties in Interact for Health’s service area. Council members will work collaboratively to review and score grant applications for the Rural Changemaker Grant, and advise on projects for funding. Applications closed on February 7, 2025.
The goal of the Rural Changemaker RFP is to promote health and well-being in the rural regions in Interact for Health’s service area by providing funding to address grassroots work in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky related to the vital conditions for health and well-being –the resources we all need to thrive. Applications are now open for the second and final round of funding, with a deadline of Monday, September 8, at 5 p.m. Learn more and apply on our Open Funding Page.
