How We Fund

Interact for Health awards grants through Requests for Proposals (RFP), by invitation and through collaborative grantmaking. Interact for Health aims to center transparency, trust and impact in our grantmaking process.

Requests for Proposals

Interact for Health issues an open Request for Proposals (RFP) for many funding opportunities. Organizations submit a proposal based on the requirements of the RFP. Interact for Health reviews the proposals and awards a limited number of grants to the organizations that best meet the requirements of the RFP. For some RFPs, Interact for Health engages community reviewers in the decision-making process.

See the Open Funding page for RFPs being accepted at this time.

Invited Funding

Some of Interact for Health’s funding is invitation-based. This type of funding allows concentrated and coordinated efforts with partners. It also allows us to streamline processes and to reduce the grantee burden during the application process.

Organizations are invited based on their work in a given area and based on their commitment to including community members in leadership and decision-making of their proposed project.

Collaboration with other Funders

Interact for Health works with other funders to deepen the impact of our grantmaking. You can learn more about that work, such as the Data for Equity Funding Collaborative and the Funders Response to the Heroin Epidemic on our InterAct for Change page.
