Interact for Health Names New Cohort of Rural Changemaker Grantees and Opens Second Round of Funding

Interact for Health has announced three organizations that will receive funding through the first round of their 2026 Rural Changemaker Grant, the signature grant opportunity of Interact for Health’s Rural Investment Strategy.

The three organizations awarded Rural Changemaker funding are advancing the vital conditions for health and well-being in their rural communities. The organizations receiving grant funding are:

The Gathering Wing, KY - $80,500 | Food Pantry & Resource Building Expansion

Increasing capacity for food and clothing distribution and outreach in Pendleton County, KY, working to reduce barriers to resources, transportation, and direct support services.

Learning Grove, KY - $70,000 | Co-Creating Career Pathways to Strengthen Health in Rural Northern Kentucky

Co-creating career learning experiences in rural school districts aligned with current workforce needs.

Ohio Voice, fiscal sponsor for SOAR 4031 Foundation, OH - $80,500| Post-Incarceration Syndrome Health, Advocacy, and Second-Chance Workforce Development Pilot

Expanding access to treatment for post-incarceration syndrome support, clinical care, workforce development, and family stabilization.

As this round of funding is awarded, the second and final round of Rural Changemaker funding for 2026 is open. Interested organizations should apply by September 8 at 5 p.m.
